It takes about ten days for healing. Immediately following the procedure the pigment will appear darker than how it will appear once it has healed. In that time any redness will fade and the initial darkness of the eyebrows will begin to lighten. The color will lighten over about thirty days as it completely sets in.

Touch up is necessary because everyone heals differently and therefore the outcomes vary. Sometimes it is necessary to adjust the color and brow thickness by adding more strokes. In the touch-up session, the final adjustments are made to assure the client’s satisfaction.

This is not recommended because the healing needs to be completed before the final results are seen. Final adjustments should only be done after the initial work has stabilized.

Eyebrows are sisters, not twins. This is very true and very important for people to understand so that they have realistic expectations. Nobody’s eyes are equidistant from the bridge of their nose so the starting points of your eyebrows are a little different. And your ocular cavities one side right above your brow bone is sometimes a little bit more flat or rounded. So there’s a lot to account for.

Microblading is semi-permanent and is much more superficial to the skin.

Generally, Microblading usually lasts 1-2 years depending on skin type...normal, oily, or dry and age...young or mature. Someone with oilier skin type tends to experience fading a little quicker. It is not permanent like a tattoo because the pigments are not implanted so deeply into the skin. Skincare also affects the duration of the pigments. A yearly color boost is recommended to keep your brows looking perfect. It would not be ideal for microblading to last forever. Not only do brow trends change, but gravity draws your eyebrows downward with age. Since microblading is designed to fade gradually over time, we can make adjustments over the years to allow your brows to keep a lifted and youthful appearance.

Yes. The fee for the consultation is $50 and will be deducted from the cost of the procedure. During the consultation we will discuss the shape which would be most flattering for your face. Also, the color will be chosen that goes well with your skin tone. The artist will pre-draw your new eyebrows using a special pencil and you go home to get used to your new brows. The artist will help you choose the right color based on your natural skin color, hair color, and eye color. This ensures that the correct style and color are chosen and the result is exactly what you want.

Microblading is a very meticulous procedure which requires a great deal of attention to detail. Your brow is being reconstructed or reshaped one hair stroke at a time. The average microblading appointment lasts up to two in a half hours. During your initial session, your face will be measured carefully to determine the ideal brow shape for your individual bone structure. The shape will be drawn on carefully and measured again for symmetry. We are always being thorough and taking the time to provide the most beautiful, natural looking brows possible.

Keeping in mind that pain is subjective, most clients say the level of discomfort is relatively minor during microblading procedure. A topical and safe anesthetic is applied for numbing during the procedure. Redness and slight swelling in the area are common after the procedure. Often clients liken the feeling to a slight sunburn. PLEASE NOTE: Having this service performed during your menstrual cycle may increase discomfort during your procedure.

For microblading, at least two appointments are needed initially, at least 6-8 weeks apart. At the second treatment, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates.

Traditional permanent makeup (also known as PMU, or permanent cosmetics), is done by a machine. Microblading is a much more refined procedure using state-of-the-art handheld tool that lets us create thinner, more precise hair-like strokes that aren’t deeply implanted in the skin for a more discrete look. We can fill in spots that are missing in the brows by drawing strokes that mimic real hair. If you hate filling in your eyebrows, have brows that starting to thin out or just need to give your brows a makeover, Microblading may be the perfect procedure.

The objective of Microblading procedure is to elevate self-esteem and self-confidence, save time, and enhance the natural beauty. Micropigmentation can be the client’s solution to vision impairment, unsteady hands, allergies to over-the-counter cosmetics, or an inability to apply makeup. Medical conditions such as alopecia, visible scars, hair loss, and breast reconstruction are also reasons for clients to consider micropigmentation, as results promote a feeling of completeness and well-being.

• Microblading is less painful than traditional eyebrow tattooing.
• The hairs produced by microblading follow the natural direction of the eyebrow hairs, creating results so real you can not distinguish between your real hair and your micro bladed hairs.
• There is no machine used for microblading. Our technique is done 100% by hand giving us more precision and control, as well as making the procedure more comfortable.
• The pigments used are thicker, preventing the fine hair strokes from migrating or blurring under the skin like with traditional eyebrow tattooing.
• The results are semi-permanent, lasting between 12-18 months. You can make changes to the shape or style down the road, should you want to, much easier than with tattooing.

All of the following should be stopped to minimize excessive bleeding:

• Fish oil supplements one month in advance
• Vitamin E
• Alcohol 2 nights before
• Tylenol
• Motrin
• Aspirin
• Garlic
• Stop all Retin-A or retinol products

* IF you have been on prescription Accutane in the past, you MUST wait at least one year before considering microblading procedure. ** Do not wax or tweeze your brows for at least one week before your appointment.

• Gently clean brows using a Q-tip lightly moistened with water.
• Gently wipe away Skin Candy (healing balm) and any lymphatic liquid (clear yellowish buildup) that may have occurred on the skin.
• Re-apply skin candy (healing balm) after lightly cleaning with a tissue.
• Apply a light layer of skin candy morning and night to brows for five to seven days.
• Do not over apply Skin Candy.
• Do not immerse brows in water for two weeks.
• Avoid face area when showering.
• When washing your face, make sure to avoid brows.
• Do not use makeup on the brows for up to two weeks.
• Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and vitamins that may cause your blood to thin for twenty-four hours.
• Do not peel or scratch at the scabbing as your brow area heals.
• No swimming, tanning or saunas for two weeks.
• No face scrubs or chemical peels for two weeks.

• Activities that result in extreme sweating
• Avoid saunas, steam baths
• Chlorinated or salt water pools for 2 weeks after the procedure
• Facials

NO BOTOX for 4 weeks before the microblading procedure and NO BOTOX 4 weeks after microblading. We recommend waiting until after your touch-up heals to get BOTOX. Any professional BOTOX injector will take your new brow shape into consideration.

You should avoid SUN and TANNING BEDS for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure. As your skin exfoliates from sunburn, it will take the pigment with it.

• Skin type. IF you have extremely oily skin, the microblading procedure MAY NOT work well for you.
• How well the aftercare instructions are followed
• Exposure to sun, water, or skin care products during the healing period
• Use of acids, retinol products or facial exfoliation procedures
• Certain medications or health conditions

• Those using Accutane in the past year
• Sick (cold, flu, etc)
• Chemotherapy
• Epilepsy
• Inflamed acne
• Anyone with a heart condition or is using heart medications
• Anyone with diabetes will need a physician’s approval.
• Anyone with skin diseases or inflammations.
• Anyone who had Botox in the last two weeks.
• Anyone who has gotten a deep tan or chemical peel in the last two weeks.
• Anyone who requires anesthetic and is allergic to lidocaine, tetracaine, or epinephrine.
• Anyone with serious medical conditions should consult with their doctors and obtain their approval
• Anyone pregnant or nursing should get their doctor’s approval.
• Anyone on blood thinning medications.

Proper procedures and precautions are used to ensure safe procedures. Either sterilized tools or disposable tools are used in a sanitized environment. When pre and post care instructions are followed the risk of complications is minimal. Allergic reactions to pigments are very rare but sometimes occur. For this reason, a pigment patch test for those with sensitive skin or to topical makeup product, gold, silver, nickel, or hair dyes should be patch tested a few days in advance of the procedure.

Carefully choose your practitioner. Compare the work of various artists before choosing. Discuss your expectations and desired outcome, including the shape, style, and color you wish with the artist. Realize that faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Adjustments may be made during touch up, such as pigment discoloration and color correction. Remember that Microbladed brows will eventually fade away if touch-ups are not done.

$700 including the first touch-up.

Your first touch-up is included in the initial price, as long as you schedule within 3 months of the first appointment. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. Most people won’t need a touch-up for at least a year but touch-ups are recommended yearly. If you need a color boost before then, please refer to the pricing below:

Touch-up at 6-9 months: $175

$100 deposit is required to secure your appointment. This deposit will be applied to the cost of your procedure and is refundable if you cancel 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.

There are many considerations that go into the pricing, including the quality of the tools and pigments used, the importance of continuing education, and the expense of insurance and proper licensure. Microblading is both an art and a science. When it comes to your safety and the integrity of your skin, you shouldn’t settle for anything less.

This is simply because a much smaller amount of pigment is inserted (tattooed) into the skin as compared to fully or solidly filled eyebrow tattoos.

Microblading provides some of the greatest benefits to those who are older. Is microblading wasted on the youth?! NO, microblading is not wasted on the youth! Microblading is for everyone!
Microblading can really act as a fountain of youth for older clients because oftentimes their eyebrows can be sparse from decades of over-plucking or the hair has just flat out stopped growing. This means a daily routine of filling in their brows.
Because eyebrows really make our face, and if they’re thinned, sparse, or faded, microblading can cultivate a look that leaves older clients looking younger and more refreshed! Beyond just plucking, thinning brows can be related to changing hormones, medical treatments such as chemo, and nutrient deficiencies as we age. Skin becomes drier as we age. Dry skin - we can all be at its throes, but the truth of the matter is that as we lose vital moisture. Our bodies make fewer natural oils and a loss of hormones can leave the skin parched. So, how does this correlate to older clients? Those over 40 with direr skin will hold onto pigment longer, which actually isn’t a bad thing! Microblading or Permanent Makeup may last much longer in older clients. We encourage our older clients for a natural brow. For older clients - less is more! While some may still be after a bold thick brow, unfortunately, it’s no longer the best choice for those over 40. It can look cartoony and wildly out of place. Instead, we recommend a more delicate brow that emphasizes what they already have.
The skin thins the older we get. There are many factors that cause thinning skin - from years of sun damage to genetics - and as we age, it’s the dermis which is the thick fibrous tissue composed of collagen and elastin, that begins to break down causing thin skin, sagging, and wrinkles. For older clients with thinning skin we use gentle, delicate, and light techniques for a brow that is heightened.

Make smart choices in your life, always choose QUALITY over QUANTITY.
QUALITY is remembered long after the price is forgotten.

Let’s not forget that we are opening the skin... ON YOUR FACE. The importance of proper disinfection protocol and the use of single-use instruments cannot be understated.
Why is Microblading so expensive?
There’s no quick and simple answer to that question, so we wanted to clarify what goes into a proper microblading procedure and why bargain-shopping for an artist is kind of a terrible idea. I love lists, so let’s start with a couple of good ones.

Things that you definitely should bargain-shop for:
-toothpaste
-paper towels
-pest control
-concert tickets

Things that you should NOT bargain-shop for:
-plastic surgery (or ANY surgery, for that matter)
-laser procedures
-cosmetic tattoos
-invasive or meticulous skin treatments

Do you notice a pattern here? All of the items in the first list are things that are replaceable, low-risk, or temporary. The items in the second list are very different. To put it simply, you should never bargain shop for anything that is permanent, or anything that involves sharp instruments or powerful machines making direct contact with your body.

Procedures which require great attention to detail, artistic flair, extensive schooling, proper licensure and/or expensive equipment are always going to come at a cost. By all means, take a look at all of your options and educate yourself on what the average cost is for the procedure you are seeking in your area. You will probably note that you can find a bargain for anything. You may even find yourself wondering how there can be such a ridiculously low-cost option when the majority of the competitors in the market are charging so much more. That’s what I like to call a RED FLAG.
As the old adage goes, If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
And while we are spouting off old adages, why not include this little pearl of wisdom:

You get what you pay for.
I can’t tell you how many people walk through my doors with terrible, disfiguring permanent makeup gone wrong. Most of the time it can be fixed, but at a significant cost and over several months of painful or invasive corrective treatments. Even after extensive corrective work, the skin in the affected area will never be the same, leaving the client facing frequent touch-ups of the corrective work at their expense. What do these clients have in common? In most cases, they chose their technician because they offered the lowest price.

The price for microblading is very reasonable considering what a good set of brows can do for someone’s confidence- not to mention the glorious convenience of facing the world makeup-free every day. That said, I understand that for a consumer, it can be confusing to see a $180 Groupon for microblading floating around on the Internet. In the average large U.S. city, the cost for a good microblading procedure by a reputable artist (including a touch-up) will run you anywhere between $700 and $1500. Artists base their prices on the time they devote to the procedure, the cost of their tools and pigments, and the investment they make in their education, licensure, and insurance. If the cost is much lower than average, it usually means that one of those components is sorely lacking. That said, sometimes you can get lucky when a great artist runs a special or contest, or you can save by finding a new (well-trained!) artist looking to build their clientele.

How do you know if the artist you are researching is reputable? Do your research and make sure your artist can provide:
-plenty of close-up and clear before/after pictures
-pictures of HEALED results
-many positive reviews/testimonials
-proper licensure, training, and insurance

Above all, follow your gut. It’s much smarter to save your pennies for the right artist than to risk a subpar or even disastrous result. This is your FACE, and it’s the only one you’ve got!
Choose wisely and enjoy the peace of mind that comes along with an informed decision.
